I lost my Dad a few weeks ago to cancer.
He was only diagnosed in February, and now he is gone. I feel so lucky to have been able to move back home in Sept. and stay with my Dad every day during his final 2 months, that is time with him that I will never forget.
He and I were very close, and I will never be the same after this loss.
I am so grateful for everything he taught me.
He was a wonderful and alternative counselor & pastor, and had a great impact on this little town.
He brought back the little local theater here in Dayton, Wa, and directed and starred in many of the productions. Just 2 Days before he died, the town named him 2010 Citizen of the Year.
Hundreds of people came to his Celebration of Life memorial service, it was very powerful and touching to see how many people were affected by him.
Thank you Dad for your calm wisdom and patience, and for being an amazing father, grandfather & role model not only to me, but many others.
Most of all, I will miss laughing with you.
My husband Chris moved here with me and has been very solid and awesome during everything, I love you Chris! :)
