NY Society of Illustrators Student Show!

These two pieces were accepted into the Society of Illustrator's Student show in New York, woo hooooooo!
I'm super stoked about it, and I really want to congratulate my buddies from the academy that also made it in, you guys rock!

Kirby Had Never Eaten Toes Before..

I'm in Stephen Player's Illustration 4 class this semester, and its so fun! Stephen is terrific. He assigned this the first day, and the final was due the next class! I only had 1 WEEK to do it- that was a good challenge. He basically handed us a sheet that had random sentences on it, out of context. So the phrase I chose was "Kirby had never eaten toes before", and we could do anything we wanted to interpret the sentences. So it was a completely open assignment, and this is what I did with it. ~Enjoy~

Random Character #1- Punk Girl

Over Christmas break I cranked out a few pieces like this. I've never done a punk chick before, and thought that it would be good to branch out with intense bright crazy colors that I don't have in most of my pieces. She's kinda cute.. ;}

Puttin' on the RITZ!

Here is my Gene Wilder portrait. I love Mel Brooks movies, especially "Young Frankenstein". So I felt it my duty to pay homage to a great (and awesomely cheesy) movie, as well as the insane and amazing Gene.
